“We have been dealing with West Park for years, and we have always found them to be a good honest company who are friendly and professional about what they do. On this occasion we very nearly bought the Speedmaster from elsewhere, but as usual West Park managed to find a better machine which matched our required specifications.”

ANOTHER STRING TO THE BOW

Five colour Perfecting Speedmaster 74 helps Abbey Hine become Jack of All Trades

Abbey Hine Ltd of Bury St Edmunds is a flourishing trade printer which has successfully expoited a range of markets. Having built its success on business forms production in the 1980s, the company diversified into label production in the 1990s, and also added a commercial sheetfed printing division which has continued to expand with increasingly large and sophisticated Heidelberg presses. Following the success of its first 5-colour Speedmaster 74, installed in 1998, Abbey Hine has now purchased a second – only this time, the company has opted for a perfecting machine. Both Speedmasters came from pre-owned specialists West Park Graphic Equipment.

“As a trade printer we need to be able to take on as much work as possible,” says Production Director Brian Hamann. “We are often asked to print multipage documents which are either 3-over-2 or 2-over-2, and now we can produce these jobs in one pass we are more competitive by being much more productive.”
